Abstract(s)
Seleccionaram-se 83 parceiros sexuais (assintomáticos e sem lesões no pénis, observáveis a olho nu ou por peniscopia) de mulheres com diagnóstico de HPV genital.Utilizou-se como exame complementar de diagnóstico a técnica de captura híbrida, que avaliou a presença de HPV alto/ médio risco associado com neoplasia. Dos 10 doentes que apresentaram HPV alto/médio risco, 8 foram tratados com imiquimod e 7 ficaram curados.
83 sexual partners were selected (asymptomatic and without penile lesions observed by objective examination or by peniscopy) of women with genital HPV. The complementary diagnostic test used was the hybrid capture technique, witch detects the presence of high/medium risk HPV type associated with neoplasia. From the 10 males who had presented high/medium risk HPV type, 8 were treated with imiquimod and 7 were cured.
